Margaret Chance
Margaret Chance is a registered member of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York and a co-leader of several troops. She has volunteered with the Girl Scouts at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Ridgewood for over 15 years. Mrs. Chance takes great pride in the Girl Scout tradition of enhancing girls’ courage, confidence and character in order to make a difference in their lives.
In addition to her work at the troop level, Margaret holds several positions with the Girl Scouts of Greater New York. She currently is a co-leader of Troop 4-215, a member of the SWQ1 Service Unit Team, a member of the Queens Recognition Committee, and a Delegate, just to name a few. In these capacities, she has worked to develop and maintain Girl Scouting by organizing and supporting local troops, adult volunteers, families and community partners in addition to providing leadership in Queens.
Mrs. Chance has been recognized for her leadership with the Girl Scouts. She has received the Skyline Pin, Leadership Development Pin, Outstanding Service Team Member Pin, 10 Years of Service, 25 Years of Membership, and the Thanks Badge for exemplary service. Margaret also received from the Catholic Committee on Scouting, Brooklyn Diocese, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Award.
Mrs. Chance is an amazing individual who refuses to say no to anything that is asked of her.
