Jean Ehni

Jean Ehni has been an active adult member of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York for the past 25 years. At present, she leads a Cadette Troop and a Senior Troop. As a leader, she has been a wonderful role model, instilling in her girls the values the Girl Scout program stands for; teaching them leadership and encouraging the girls to set high goals for the future.

Over the years, Jean has received many awards including the Skyline Award, Outstanding Leadership Award, Twenty-Year Service pin and Leadership Development pins.

Jean has also been an active Service Team member. Most recently she organized a Court of Awards for the scouts earning the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. She also organized a Memorial Service at Bowne Park in Flushing in memory of 9/11 where the scouts dedicated the planting of two trees and an engraved stone marker. Jean is an active member of St. Andrew Avellino parish and coordinates the Girl Scout troops meeting there. She also coordinates the Service Unit meetings.
