Linda B. Monte

Linda B. Monte has been serving the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York for fifteen years. In addition to being a Girl Scout leader at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, she has served as a consultant on many Council committees, including the Gold and Silver Award Committee, the Queens Recognition and Dinner Committee, the Britenstool Scholarship Committee, the Leaders' Weekend Committee and, as an adult member, the Wildlife Career Program Committee. She has also served as a delegate to the Council's Annual Meeting and a delegate to the National Meeting in 1999. Linda has received the Thanks Badge, a National Girl Scout Award.

At St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, Linda served as a Catechist giving religious instruction to children ages 7 – 13 years. From 1994 to the present she serves as a Eucharist Minister at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church. She has received the St. Elizabeth Seton Award and the St. Anne Award.

The Queens Coordinating Committee of Church Women United and the Queens Federation of Churches are pleased to present this award to her.
