Outstanding Leadership in Queens
2019 Honoree of the Queens Federation of Churches

Bishop Erskine M. Williams, Sr.

Bishop Erskine M. Williams, Sr., has served as pastor of the New Seasons Family Worship Center for 26 years with all the variegated responsibilities a pastorate entails – training the respective leaders and support staff in their various area assignments such as hospitality ministry, grief counseling, marriage counseling, family counseling, and implementing effective problem solving techniques. Bishop Williams recognizes the importance of team ministry in performing assignments that require concerted involvement. Among his greatest strengths are communication skills and helping others to improve in that same area.

Bishop Williams has worked with the 103rd Precinct Community Council since 2007 and currently serves as President of the executive council.

He shoulders the administrative responsibilities as a Bishop in his ministerial diocese, which includes making sure statements of purpose and intent are clear, concise, and relevant to the satisfaction and approval of the Archbishop. He conducts periodic episcopal training sessions to ensure that all related Bishops are well versed regarding episcopal protocols.

He takes good pleasure as a marriage and family counselor in helping respective families better understand their existing family structural mishaps and assist them in detailing a course of corrective actions that will enable them in implementing measures to diffuse issues as they arise.

He holds the Doctor of Sacred Theology, with distinction in religious education, from United Christian College where he also earned a Diploma in Psychology of Counseling. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate in Religious Education from Hope for All Bible College, Brooklyn. Bishop Williams is a graduate of the Graduate School Of Episcopal Studies and of the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops.
