Imam Ibrahim Sayar

Imam Ibrahim Sayar is the Director of the Center for Interfaith Affairs at Peace Islands Institute. He is also the president of the Universal Foundation. Ibrahim has been actively involved in Spiritual life since his High school education at Imam and Preachers High School in Turkey. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Harran University, Turkey, and a Masters Degree in Psychology from Concordia University, Chicago.

He worked for Turkish American Cultural Alliance at Chicago as the religious leader of the Turkish community for three years until 2005. From 2005 to 2011, he worked as the Director of the Boston Dialogue Foundation. Meanwhile he also served as a Chaplain at Boston Children’s Hospital.

He is currently President of Universal Foundation and Director of the Center for Interfaith Affairs of Peace Islands Institute in New York City. He has been active in interfaith work for more than 12 years.

He organized and attended as a speaker numerous panels, conferences, seminars. He is happily married and has two sons.
