The Reverend Dr. Seung H. Kim

The Reverend Dr. Seung H. Kim is Senior Pastor of the New York Cho Dae Church in Bayside. He assumed leadership of the church in 1981.
His leadership, however, has extended to a number of significant organizations: Chairperson of Board of Directors of the Korean Christian Poets & Writers Association, USA, from 2004 to 2010; Chairperson of Board of Directors of the Theological Seminary of New York, Jackson Heights, from 2004 to 2011; 40th President of the Clergymen Association of Greater New York, 2011-2012; and 40th President of the Church Council of Greater New York, 2013-2014.

He currently serves as President of the End of the Earth Mission (TEEM) since 2006 and Chairperson of Board of Directors of the Good Neighbor Organization (an NGO) since 2018.
In 2015 he was awarded the Alice Island Medallion.

Pastor Kim earned his Ph.D. degree from Seoul Christian University in 2008 and was awarded the Doctor of Divinity degree by Canada Christian College in 2005. He holds the Master of Divinity degree from New York Theological Seminary, and two Bachelor of Theology degrees in Theology from Valley Forge Christian College and from the KPCA College/Theological Seminary in New York. He attended Hunter College of the City University of New York where he majored in Psychology.
