The Reverend Romeo K. Dabee

 

The Rev. Romeo Karamchand Dabee serves as JFK Airport Community Minister/Chaplain of Christ for the World Chapel, a ministry of the Council of Churches of the City of New York and as Interim Pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Queens Village, NY – a ministry of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Ordained into the ministry of Word and Sacraments on Reformation Sunday of 2005, Romeo is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (STM in 2012 and MDiv. in 2005) and the University of Guyana (BSc. in Accountancy 2000 and Diploma in Public Management in 1996).

Prior to his current calls, Pastor Dabee served as Pastor of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in New Hyde Park, NY and Associate Pastor alongside The Rev. Robert “Bob” Fritch at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Jamaica, Queens, NY where he was ordained on Reformation Sunday, 2005.

A native of Guyana, South America, Romeo credits his parents, grandparents and spiritual leaders of Churches in Guyana for shaping his faith-life and for the early exposure to public ministry. Today, he resides in Queens Village and is happily married for over seventeen years to Rozelle, a Public School teacher in Queens. Together, they pursue the game of golf.
