The Reverend Lois B. Stewart

 

The Reverend Lois B. Stewart is a speaker for churches, civic and business organizations. She develops and conducts retreats, seminars and workshops throughout the metropolitan area and other states. Founder of Living Water Ministry, a ministry dedicated to teaching and equipping through The Word of Almighty God, spiritual life principles for living overcoming lives day by day.

Rev. Stewart is an Associate Minister at The Greater Allen AME Cathedral of New York under the pastorate of The Reverends Floyd H. Flake, D.Min., and M. Elaine Flake, D.Min. She teaches a weekly Old Testament Bible Study class in addition to other ministerial duties. Rev. Stewart is also an Associate Chaplain at Christ for the World Chapel at JFK International Airport, serving the traveling public and the 40,000 airport community workers. She is currently serving on the Executive Board of Directors of the Queens Federation of Churches and served as its President in 2007 & 2008.

Rev. Stewart has chaired advisory boards for the NYC Dept. of Correction and NYC Dept. of Social Services. She has also served on Boards dealing with prison ministry and after care services for ex-offenders, corporations and civic organizations. For over 15 years she directed over 400 volunteers who came together for the annual Allen “Feeding of The Five Thousand Ministry,” which distributed over 7,000 Thanksgiving meals in Queens and Brooklyn. Rev. Stewart served as the liaison for the Long Island Blood Services and Queens churches to increase ethnic participation as donors. She has received citations from The New York City Office of The Mayor; The Council of The City New York; New York City Department of Correction; National Council of Negro Women of Greater New York and Trans World Airlines, Inc. and was profiled in the South East Queens Courier and NY Newsday’s “The Many Faces of Queens Women.” Rev. Stewart is the proud mother of Mrs. Regina Benjamin, husband, Kevin and Grandmother of Avis and Dennis. She is a licensed Real Estate broker, developer and relocation specialist with an office in Forest Hills.
