Online Prayer Conference Opportunities

January 4, 2011

Two important Assemblies of God prayer events are being held this week and thanks to the Internet, travel is not required to participate. The 2011 Prayer and Bible Conference and a Midwest Latin American District prayer meeting will both be available live online.

The 2011 Prayer and Bible Conference begins tonight, Tuesday, January 4, at 7 p.m. (CST) and continues throughout tomorrow, Wednesday, January 5. The services will be streamed live, courtesy of the Media Ministry Department at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where the conference is being held.

The conference begins with a message from Dr. James Bradford, general secretary of the Assemblies of God at 7 p.m. (CST). Tomorrow's schedule of speakers includes Kermit S. Bridges, president of Southwestern Assemblies of God University at 9 a.m.; Martha Tennison, evangelist, at 10 a.m.; Dean Caldwell, evangelist, at 2 p.m.; and Rod Loy, pastor of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, at 7 p.m.

The Midwest Latin American District will sponsor a Web conference prayer meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, January 5, from 10 a.m. until noon (CST). Pastors and church leaders who want to participate can go to the district website (http://www.mladc.org) and sign on to the prayer meeting. They can also call or e-mail prayer requests.

District Superintendent Clemente Maldonado Jr. will direct the prayer meeting from the Midwest Latin American District office in Chicago, where district leaders, staff and local pastors will gather. Other pastors from the nine-state region will call in and lead segments of prayer time throughout the prayer meeting.
