NEW YORK – The Citizens Commission on Human Rights, makers of two recent award-winning documentaries, held today a New York premier for a new film, exposing how devastating – and deadly – psychiatric drugs can be for children and families.
Parents, human rights advocates, and school counselors attended the showing of "Dead Wrong: How Psychiatric Drugs Can Kill Your Child," as part of an Open House at the Church of Scientology on 46th Street in Manhattan.
Carol Ann Clarizio, President of CCHR New York said, "Before any parent is tricked or coerced into giving their child potent and dangerous psychiatric drugs, they need to know the facts. These drugs are not safe, and the justifications for giving them are not legitimate."
"Dead Wrong," tells the personal, human story behind the epidemic of drugging of millions of children – for conditions like ADHD which many experts say may not even exist, or for normal adolescent problems.
The film features what eight brave mothers, their families, health experts and doctors have to say about the tragic consequences they have personally witnessed. These people want others to know the truth, before it is too late. CCHR hopes the video will encourage parents to investigate alternatives before considering drugs.
The Citizens Commission on Human Rights was established by the Church of Scientology to investigate and expose psychiatric violations of human rights. To view the video or to report your own or another's abuse case go to http://www.cchr.org/, or call CCHR NY/NJ at 646-222-9102.
