In the two years since it's founding, Taiwan's Crown Financial Ministries has conducted countless seminars on managing finances and helping many believers in the process. Recently, Crown Financial Ministries unveiled its newest book entitled simply "2350." This book collects over 2,350 Bible verses pertaining to managing one's finances. Crown Ministries hopes that the new book will help readers to quickly discern God's will on managing their finances when they encounter financial difficulties in their daily lives.
Crown Financial Ministries held a press conference about the new book on September 24th, 2008. During the conference, a simple gift-giving ceremony was conducted by the organization. It presented the new book to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Taiwan and other delegates from churches and organizations across Taiwan. Through this gesture, Crown hopes that preachers can be more assertive and positive in teaching about finance management.
During the press conference, Crown Financial Ministries' chairman Dao-Chang Wu shared that money is a fact of life. Therefore, churches should emphasize on teaching about finances. The recent bankruptcy of the Lehman Brothers and other U.S. banking institutions are not only influencing countries but also ordinary citizens. Wu argues that in light of the recent global financial crisis, Christians should revisit what the Bible teaches about managing finances. Hence, "2350" could not have come at a better time – it may just help Christians in their spiritual walk, encourage tithing, and evangelism.
