MINNEAPOLIS – Augsburg Fortress is happy to be distributing titles from award-winning Canadian authors from Castle Quay Books. Castle Quay Books Canada was founded in 2002 as an independent Canadian Christian publishing imprint of Augsburg Fortress Publishers Canada. It is dedicated to the advancement of the Canadian Christian writing community with the purpose of developing and publishing high value, quality Canadian titles, with both established and new authors. Christian fiction titles releasing this season include The Cities of Fortune by Paul H. Boge, containing more thrilling adventures of powerful healer Lucas Stephens; and The Defilers, a suspense thriller by Deborah Waters Gyapong. Also available is The Way They Should Go, timeless advice for the teen journey from over ninety key leaders. The Cities of Fortune, By Paul H. Boge, Format: Paperback, 320 pages, 6 x 9 inches, Price: $17.99, Item No: 1-897186-03-7, Publisher: Castle Quay Books, distributed by Augsburg Fortress.

The adventures of Lucas Stephens, first encountered in Boge's first novel, The Chicago Healer, continue. In Stephens's desire to be self-sacrificing, he takes his mysterious gift of healing to those suffering in the African slums, who can't afford conventional medicine. This leads to a whole new series of thrilling adventures.

This second novel by award-winning author Paul Boge engages the inner battle between faith, love, and fear as the characters narrowly survive a plane crash and an attack by an unappreciative violent mob. Main character Lucas discovers that someone may have found a cure for cancer but is keeping it a secret since he is already making a greater profit from more expensive drugs that help cancer patients survive but do not cure them. Lucas devises a complicated plan to confront him hoping that he will force him to focus on the release of the cancer cure. Fast-paced, satisfying storytelling.

The Defilers, By Deborah Waters Gyapong, Format: Paperback, 320 pages, 6 x 9 inches, Price: $17.99, Item No: 1-897186-02-9, Publisher: Castle Quay Books, distributed by Augsburg Fortress.

When Boston native Linda Donner travels north to Canada in search of a better life, she has no idea how quickly her life will spin out of control. After joining the Mounties, she takes a posting in rural Nova Scotia, where the firebombing of a pastor's home and the murder of a sadistic cult leader draw her into a tangle of lies.

Now, to solve the mystery and find personal deliverance from her troubled past, Linda must lose herself in the shacks and trailers of a backwoods community to confront the evil that threatens everything she holds dear. But what will happen when she frames an innocent man in the process?

The Defilers is the gripping debut of Deborah Waters Gyapong, winner of the 2005 Best New Canadian Christian Author Award.
