Global University's Center for Evangelism and Discipleship has recently launched a new Web site for the distribution of evangelism and discipleship resources.

According to Missionary Mark Barclift, the purpose of globalreach.org is to provide free evangelism and discipleship materials around the world. With the goal of giving away courses in more than 100 languages, globalreach.org will initially provide materials in English, Mandarin (simplified), French, and Spanish. Work is underway to add Mandarin (traditional), Arabic and Bengali within the next few months.

Barclift said that Light for the Lost played a major role by helping financially with the development of http://globalreach.org. In addition, LFTL provides funds to Assemblies of God missionaries for translation of the courses into additional languages.

The courses, which have been developed over many years by Global University (formerly ICI University), have been translated into nearly 150 languages, and are being translated into new languages on a regular basis. The courses are currently being used in 178 countries.

Globalreach.org is a dynamic, data-base driven Web site that allows users to access materials under the categories of Discover God, Discover Christian Life, and Discover Christian Service. Users can search the database for individual lessons or access entire courses. For example, a search on the word "marriage" not only brings up the course title Marriage and Home, but also suggests individual lessons from Your New Life, Bible Ethics, and others.

Barclift added that there is no cost for any of the courses offered on globalreach.org. "Ministries, as well as individuals, are encouraged to use these courses for any language group to whom they minister," he said. "All Web site users are asked to provide feedback and let globalreach.org know how they plan to use the materials."

Ministry Web sites wishing to link to a specific language homepage or course should send an e-mail to the Global University webmaster at webmaster@globaluniversity.edu.

Globalreach.org was created as a means of distributing Global University's award winning evangelism and discipleship courses around the world. The Web site allows users to view or print entire courses from any computer connected to the Internet. Many courses can also be accessed in audio, video, or online interactive formats. Print courses are available in Portable Document File (PDF) format and have been formatted to print out on both A4 and North American letter-sized paper.
