Three Kings Day

Toys for Children

Three Kings Day is a traditional celebration in the Latin American community. It relates to the Christian celebration of the Epiphany and the visitation by the wisemen – the three kings – to the baby Jesus in Bethlehem.

This year's Three Kings Day toy distribution will be co-sponsored by the Queens Federation of Churches, Church of Scientology New York, St. George's Episcopal Church, St. Peter & St. Paul Lutheran Church, and the Ecuador News. Ambassador David Molina Vizcaino, General Consul of Ecuador in New York, will collaborate in the project and children in the Ecuadorian Community in Queens will be the principal recipients of the gifts.

We are extending an invitation to join us in the effort by contributing unwrapped new toys and by helping to spread the word about this event.

The toy distribution will take place at St. George's Social Hall in Astoria on Sunday, January 11, at 4 pm. Children receiving toys must be registered (name, gender, age) by Wednesday, January 7, so that adequate preparation may be made. To contribute toys or to register a child or for any further information you may call the Rev. Pedro Bravo-Guzman, coordinator of the event, at (718) 932-1633, by e-mail at pBravoGuzman@QueensChurches.org, or below:
